THAI CUSINE

EXOTIC ASIAN FOOD WORKSHOP II/IV – 21 January 2016

Thai’s food is like a beautiful girl who needs little introduction!

It’s richness of exotic fragrances & flavours make it among the most coveted of international cusines.

Many of the ingredients and dishes are introduced by Chinese in Thailand such as soya products, such as tofu.

The various fresh vegetables and herbs are just baked on high heat, making the taste preserved. In addition, there is little vegetable oil used in the preparation, making de Thai kitchen light and relatively low in fat.

In Holland, one of the street foods is spring rolls – loempia – . Every market place has at least one Loempia car. A crispy baked loempia with sweat & sour sauce for everyone, any moment of the day.

Making your own spring rolls was our first exercise… Cooking HO MOK KAI with freshly made red curry from scratch…

Using wok, bamboo steamers and mortar&pestles was unavoidable.

You can also cook Thai food at home like your Thai neighbours!
