All the plants of tomorrow are in the seeds of yesterday…

My day starts early with a cup of coffee, visit my garden with my two cats. That is our daily routine.

How amazing to see some of the plants grow fast !

Because of two cold nights last week, non of my beans survived. Each year I get different challenges.

At the end, the mother earth decides !

Peas are strong, they can take the cold evenings. Next to my peas, the Borlotto / Italian beans grow strongly…I have to keep an eye on rabbits, slags/snails following days.

I seed the bean one more time for good. I keep my fingers crossed this time.

My potatoes are doing well. They don’t need my attention yet.

The seeds that I kept in the greenhouse have to come inside during the cold evenings. It’s was a wise choose… The cucumber growed very fast and moved in to the soil of the greenhouse.

The tomatoes start slow but, they will make it. During the early morning tours I have found an illegal tomato in my garden border !

I transfer immediately in a garden pot. You won’t believe it ! If the other tomato seeds won’t make it, I have at least one tomato plant already…yes the mother earth is full of surprises…

I seeded  green mustard in a pot. I transfer and separate them. Gently tease the seedings apart into soil. Be careful not to tear up the roots. Mustard grows fast like a rocket, lettuce… to maintain the rapid leafy growth, the plant needs fertilizer. Feed with POKON twice during the harvest season.

Chards, spinach, radishes, beets and the other herbs are doing pretty well.

The golden zucchini seed was happy with two warm nights inside and grow like a crazy while Pep0 zucchini takes it easy.
